One of the largest festivals in the East is the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival at Rhinebeck. A member of the Staten Island Handspinners and Weavers Guild (New York) gave a detailed account of her trip in the newsletter. Among five events occurring simultaneously, she chose to attend the Sunday book signing in the Author’s Barn. She described meeting the authors and viewing the projects pictured in the books firsthand, and her reviews of those featured books for sale gave readers an inside look at what was new in the publishing world along with highlights of this attendee’s shopping experience.
