We’re celebrating the wide world of knitting in this summer’s Spin Off!

From reliable garter ridges to traveling cables, our Summer 2024 issue is focused on all things handspun handknit. After nearly two decades of knitting with my handspun yarns, I still feel like there are more roads to explore ahead of me than behind. As a community, we can explore further afield, inspire one another, and puzzle over the details. We want to hear about your explorations!
Are you a cotton spinner creating fine knitted fabrics? Or perhaps you’ve been sussing out the best fibers for sturdy socks that last for years. We want to hear about the fibers and fabrics that you’ve been honing. Do you have strong opinions about common finishing techniques such as thwacking and weighting? And if those subjects are not controversial enough, go all in and tell us what you think about knitting with singles yarns!
